Brief  Introduction

It is used for strength test of round bar, or rectangle specimen, which stipulates in GB/T4338< Metallic Materials Tensile Testing at Elevated Temperature>, HB5195 <Metal Tensile Testing at Elevated Temperature>, GB/T2039 < Metallic Materials Creep and Endurance Test in Tension>, HB5150< Metal Tensile Endurance Testing at Elevated Temperature>, under high temperature environment.

This furnace adopts drum split construction or integral structure, and three-zone control are provided as standard. The furnace consists of case, temperature controller, high-temperature pull rod, high-temperature clamping head, high-temperature extension measuring system as well as rotating support arm.

It permits any combination of use as per the requirements of environments to finish metal and nonmetal tensile testing at elevated temperature; also it meets usage requirements in all walks of life. In normal temperature test, it just needs to move the furnace away.

Main features

1. The furnace adopts drum structure, resistance wire heating. The resistance wires are of split construction to guarantee temperature gradient and fluctuation in the furnace. The resistance wires adopt three-zone split control method. The diameter of furnace heating wire is 1.5mm. If need long time working, to do endurance or creep test, it may take thick furnace heating wire with diameter 5mm as heating unit, low voltage, heavy current power supply, to prolong the life of furnace to guarantee consecutive 5000 hours working.

2. Type K thermocouples guarantee long-time steady working and high precision measurement.

3. Furnace adopts special insulation measures, the outer surface temperature of electric furnace is small, energy saving and safe.

4. Temperature control measuring system:

The system consists of thermocouples, PLC, imported temperature measuring instrument ( PID adjusting, with AT function), etc..

5. Connecting to testing machine

The furnace is mounted on the column of moving cart via rotating support arm, folding support arm can be adjusted to any height and horizontal position as requested, plus locked after positioned.

When doing normal temperature test, just need moving the furnace away. Or configured mounting brackets on the testing machine, the furnace case and support arm can be mounted on the column directly.

6. Clamping specimen

From the both end of specimen are high-temperature clamping body and water-cooling connection rod (only the end which connects to load cell has the function of cooling) in sequence. Connection rod may be clamped by wedge grips or other accessories connect to the moving crosshead.

The end of connection rod which connects load cell has cooling jacket to prevent load cell from temperature drift, and to guarantee the temperature of load cell at room temperature.

7. Deformation measurement

High temperature deformation measurement adopts extraction type double-channel  measurement, the gauge length and deformation are extracted by measuring device to the outside of furnace, then measured by 2 pieces of deformation transducer (differential transformer, grating ruler, digital dial gauge, or strain extensometer are up to the testing machine manufacturer) , and took the average.

After deformation measurement, removed the extensometer according to different type deformation transducer.  

8. The cooling system consists of stainless steel water tank, recycle pump, pipes, connectors, etc..

9. Protection function: Protection with temperature alert and over temperature alarm.

10. Customized as per different length of uniform temperature and mounted method, especially fit for research of mechanical properties of extra long shaped specimen or high-temperature plastic and superplastic material.
